Praying at the Holy Well

This piece was prompted by reading Paul Kingsnorth's substack The Abbey of Misrule. As of fall 2023 he is doing a series on holy wells throughout Ireland. This drawing depicts a young woman praying in a well house with a lit candle. If you haven't heard of a well house here's a picture of Saint Flanagan's well in Ireland:
